The short version
This site collects nothing about you. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no tracking pixels, and does not build a profile of anyone. If you email us, we have your email. That is the whole of it.
Who we are
DraxCoders builds software for firms that sell development work and do not employ developers. For anything in this notice, or to exercise any of the rights below, contact info@draxcoders.com.
What happens when you visit this page
No cookies are set. Nothing is stored on your device by us, so there is no cookie banner to dismiss and nothing to opt out of.
No analytics. We do not run Google Analytics or any equivalent. We do not know how many people visit this site, which pages they read, or where they came from.
Web server logs. Our hosting provider records ordinary technical information when a page is requested, including the requesting network address, the time, the page requested and the browser's self reported identity. This is standard for any web server, is used for security and fault diagnosis, and is retained by the host under their own retention schedule rather than ours.
Fonts are loaded from Google. The typefaces on this site are requested from Google Fonts when the page loads, which means your browser contacts Google's servers and Google receives your network address as part of that request. We do not control that and receive nothing from it. We intend to serve these fonts ourselves, which will remove the third party request entirely.
If you contact us
The contact form does not send anything to us directly. Completing it opens a message in your own email application, already filled in, which you then choose to send or not. Nothing is transmitted to any server by the form itself, and if you close the message without sending it, we never see it.
When you do email us, whether through the form or directly, we receive and store your name, your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it to answer you and to discuss work you are asking about. We do not add you to a mailing list, we do not sell or share it, and we do not use it for anything you did not contact us about.
Our lawful basis is legitimate interest: you contacted a business asking about its services, and replying is the obvious purpose. Where a conversation becomes an engagement, the basis becomes performance of a contract.
We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as the conversation is live and for two years afterwards, so that we can pick up a thread that goes quiet and resumes. Ask us to delete it sooner and we will.
Who else can see it
Our email is hosted by our hosting provider, and our website sits on their infrastructure. They can technically access what is stored there and are bound by their own obligations to us.
We do not sell data, share it with advertisers, or pass it to anyone for their own purposes. Where an engagement requires us to handle information belonging to a partner or their customer, we do so under a separate written agreement and only on that partner's instructions.
Your rights
Under United Kingdom data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of what we hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, delete it, restrict what we do with it, or object to us holding it at all. Ask at info@draxcoders.com and we will respond within one month.
If you think we have handled your information badly, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, and we would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
Changes
If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. There is no mailing list to notify, by design.
